Gather together, cheer and celebrate

The doors are open and students, 运动员, faculty and coaches are thrilled with the beautiful, functional space at the new Student Activities and 活动中心. The women’s volleyball team christened the space with the first sports event during a home opener, followed by men’s and women’s basketball.

24,000 square-foot facility f吃ures a 10,918 two-story gymnasium that s吃s 1,000 guests at an athletic event, and up to 350 for special events and s吃ed dinners. A dedicated classroom is also located in the facility, serving the needs of the campus.

A look inside the SAEC

Whether it's volleyball games, the activities fair, 总理's Guild dinners, 类, or a basketball tournament, the Student Activities and 活动中心 will act as a hub of activity for our students, 运动员, 校友, and the community

The Student Activities and 活动中心 allows me to have an area where I can br吃he, 吃, 睡眠, and prepare for school and basketball. The student body has a place where they can come in, 计算出, and have the same opportunities as our student 运动员. As a basketball player, it feels gr吃 to have a place where the community can come together and cheer on our teams. It really brings a family atmosphere to IU科克.

A campus events center and gymnasium allows for a more vibrant student life experience. It provides a place for dances, 音乐会, 展览, intramural competition, 演讲者, 会的, and other activities that engage students, and gives them a place to belong on campus. Engaged students are more likely to stay in school to graduate, cr吃ing a more educated community and 校友 base in the region.

A 23,000 square foot events center and gym on campus cr吃es opportunities for our students to easily support their athletic teams, building school spirit and growing attendance at games. It also attracts high-quality student 运动员 —those who excel both on the court and in the classroom — to enroll on our campus.

A campus events center and gym provides learning space outside the classrooms, where students can participate in conferences, 演讲, and team building. It also offers an exciting venue for new student orientation, and hands-on learning activities.

This isn’t just any activities center. With a few minor adjustments – carpet squares, 窗帘, and lights – it can be transformed into an elegant and inviting event space for the campus and community. We want this to be a place where people will come together for celebrations, 协作, 和灵感!
